BADASS PROXY FOR CHROME — v1.0.1

Install (unpacked):

2. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome.
3. Turn on Developer mode.
4. Click Load unpacked.
5. Select the Badass_Proxy_Chrome_Extension_v1 folder.
6. Pin Badass Proxy from the Chrome extensions menu.

Use:
1. Open Badass → Residential Lite → Generator.
2. Generate/copy an HTTP proxy using proxy.badass.fo:7443.
3. Paste HOST:PORT:USER:PASS into the extension.
4. Click Connect.
5. Click Test to confirm the new exit IP.
6. Click Disconnect to restore direct browsing.

Security and privacy:
- Proxy username/password are stored only in chrome.storage.session and disappear when the browser session ends.
- Host/port and enabled state are stored locally so the extension can restore and display status.
- Proxy credentials are supplied only to proxy-authentication challenges; they are never supplied to normal website Basic Auth prompts.
- The extension does not upload proxy credentials to Badass APIs.
- Clicking Test sends a request through the configured proxy to https://backend.badass.fo/api/public/tools/v1/echo so the observed exit IP can be displayed.
- The extension does not collect or store browsing history.

Chrome SOCKS5 limitation:
Chrome supports SOCKS5 routing but does not support SOCKS5 username/password authentication. Badass proxies require authentication, so the extension intentionally configures the authenticated HTTP gateway instead. HTTPS websites still work through HTTP CONNECT.
